About Us

Children’s Future India (CFI) is a secular, non-political, non-profit voluntary organization that works dedicatedly for the welfare of underprivileged children, their families and their communities among the tribal, slum and rural populace in India, with thrust on the state of Maharashtra.

It was founded with the objective of impacting the lives of destitute children, enabling them to maximize their potential and facilitate growth and progress of their families and the entire community.

At CFI, we focus on the overall well being of children in need, with education sponsorship being our core area of our work. Through our sponsors based in Norway, presently we are enabling 4000 sponsored children and 1100 non sponsor and siblings of sponsored children receive quality education under our Education Sponsorship Programme. Apart from assistance in the form of education, we also help in offer support in other basic necessities like healthcare, nutrition, food security, together with family and community development. We, at CFI, endeavour to build a healthy, progressive and self-reliant society.

CFI is established and functions under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956.
All donations to our organization are tax-exempt u/s 80G of the IT Act.

 
WHO WE ARE and WHERE WE WORK
 
Children's Future India (CFI) consists to Board of Directors who are the ultimate authority responsible for overall functioning of the organisation. They provide guidance in policy decisions, expertise on programs, ensure financial accountability and compliance with law of the land.
 


Dr. N. G. Hegade (Chairman)

Having earned his PhD with M.Sc (Agri) and MS (Horticulture) and having over 38 years of social field experience. He has won numerous National & International awards for his contribution in the development field.

He wants to develop CFI and set a role model for upliftment of poor children, improve quality of life and achieve wider coverage of poor children & their families.


Mr. Nandkumar Parasnis
(Board Member)


He is the Director of CFI having 4 years of experience in social field and over 21 years of experience in banking and finance. He has done L.L.B, FCA, DISCA and is a member of ICAI. He want to see CFI work more on upliftment of needy children.


Adv. Suhas Oak
(Board Member)


He is a practicing Advocate in the Mumbai High Court from last 20 years handling constitutional, civil, criminal, labor & corporate matters. He is a member of Advocates association of western India and has been involved in various social sector initiatives.


Dr. Jayant Navarange
(Board Member)


He is a well known Pediatrician, have expertise in child healthcare. He is a member of IMA, Pune.


Dr. (Mrs) Jayshree Firodia
(Board Member)


She is a eminent person, well known for her contributions in the Social field.
 
CFI Head Office
 
CFI's overall day to day administration is looked after by Head Office situated in Pune. The role of HO is to monitor, guide in the day to day matters relating to programs, finance and administration of the CFI units. The following are the staff members at CFI HO:

He is working with CFI and Indias Barn, Norway, since last 20 years, Has been showered with National Youth Award (2000) by Central Government of India, at the hands of President of India
for social services.

CFI works at ground level through its unit offices. The unit offices implements the programs, maintains records of children and have daily interactions with children/family and community.
